Let’s go round again. Welcome to the Mackyard Ultra London 24 2026.

WHAT IS THE MACKYARD ULTRA 24?

Competitors will run a 4.2 mile (6.7 kilometre) route or ‘yard’, on the hour, every hour.

Each yard starts exactly on the hour. Competitors have 60 minutes to complete each yard and cannot start a yard early or finish late.

For example, the first yard will begin at 14:00, the second at 15:00 and so on. A warning whistle will be sounded with 3, 2 and 1 minute before each yard begins.

The faster you complete a yard, the more rest you get, but the more tired your legs will become. Which strategy will you choose?

This is a 24-hour capped event, however this event is very much focused on you achieving your personal goals - there is no commitment from you to make it to the end.

This is a great way to attempt your first half marathon (just over 3 yards) or full marathon (just over 6 yards). You can also tick off other milestones e.g. 50km, 50 miles, 100km and the big 100 mile milestone at the end of this event.

LOCATION

The Mackyard Ultra 24 will be held at Redbridge Cycling Centre in Romford, Essex.

Car: The facility can be accessed easily by following satnav, with free and secure parking available on site.

Public Transport: Multiple routes are available, with the facility being one hour from Central London. The fastest route is by taking the Elizabeth Line from Liverpool Street station to Romford, then the 247 bus to Forest Road, finishing with an 8min walk to the facility.

Getting home from the Mackyard Ultra is entirely the responsibility of competitors. If you finish at an unsociable hour, there may be no direct public transport links back into Central London, although Ubers do operate in the area.

You are welcome to stay at the facility, but bring your own sleeping stuff!

FACILITIES AND COURSE

We have exclusive use of the facility for the duration of the event, which includes on-site parking, showers, changing facilities, and hot and cold water.

The route itself will be on a 2km tarmac cycling track, meaning multiple loops will be required to complete each yard. The route is undulating with 110m elevation per yard.

You will get to know this loop all too well over the course of the event.

SUPPORT

It is likely the Mackyard Ultra will be the furthest you have every run in one go.

To help you do this, we actively encourage support groups to help each runner. No additional entry tickets required.

Whilst on the course, this is an entirely self-sufficient event. However, you can set up camp at Event HQ to help push yourself to your limits.

Our events don’t end at the finish line. We would love for you to stay on after your race has finished to support your fellow runners as they continue to push their limits.

NUTRITION AND HYDRATION

As mentioned above, this is a self-sufficient event. Competitors are expected to bring enough food and nutrition to sustain them for the entirety of the event. This includes means to consume this food e.g. plates, containers, cutlery etc.

Drinking water will be available at the facility and can be accessed by competitors and support crews.

What are you waiting for? Get yourself stuck in!
